We see a movement of people who will rise, and understand that co-existence is
so essential for the future, so we aim to create ‘branches’ in different areas of our country that will focus on the issues in their communities, empowering the youth and all people.

We are hopeful that these collectives will be able to engage young people, to rise and become passionate about wildlife and wild places.

We see communities doing conservation together, enjoying their unique local wild places and creating projects to conserve it.

The 'REC' Way

This is a model to inspire future generations to Coexist with Wildlife and Wild Places.

Conservation is and will always be our main focus, everything that we do revolves around conservation and to inspire generations to coexist with Wildlife and Wild Places.

We have designed a model called “The REC Way” (Recreation, Education and Conservation) which is a tool used to achieve conservation. It is a model that we used to get into the hearts of people, for people to realise that conservation is important and we must prioritise it in order to promote it.

For so many people conservation is very important, but many millions of others have not yet embraced the value, and we believe there is a reason for this. People just don’t know! We want to encourage people to simply get outside and explore. This is the first step in conservation. Once people experience the joys and wonders of our environment, they will become passionate about it and want to save it, just as so many others do!

This model is a flow on effect. It is all about getting people outside, giving them an experience where they will learn and become aware of the environment and then ultimately a desire to protect it.

By providing RECREATION Experiences we are getting people outdoors; undertaking activities such as bushwalking, canoeing, stargazing and camping. People immersed in nature will hear the sounds of birds, see kangaroos jumping in the distance, and learn the significance of flora.

Through these recreation activities comes the experience of EDUCATION. When someone is engaged in something and they are enjoying it they are learning. Education is a powerful thing, it puts people on the track to create change.

We are now at CONSERVATION. When people are enjoying learning something, they most likely want to do something about it. People are going to be passionate about the outdoors and when they know of the issues that are facing our environment they are going to want to make a difference.

Recreation, Education and Conservation are so critical in the process of getting people engaged in this movement. We are passionate about this model, and we believe that this is the way to build a new generation of conservationists, one that will view conservation as a way of life
